what is silicone?
Silicone is a synthetic polymer, derived from silicon metal. The nature of its origin gives silicone a number of significant advantages over conventional rubber polymers. These include the ability to perform in extreme operating temperatures, excellent resistance to weather and ozone, electrical resistance or conductivity, flame retardency, and the ability to match nearly any colour.
