We understand that price is important to our customers.

It’s simple – we must supply product to you at a price that is acceptable to your marketplace. If we do not, you don’t sell any products, and you don’t order any more product from us.

Our first priority is developing a material that can meet the demands of your product. Because we develop and mix our materials on site, we can repeatedly modify the formulation in a very short timeframe. This gives us an important competitive advantage over suppliers that rely on external suppliers of raw materials – the optimum formulation may take up to twenty attempts, and we do not pass these costs onto the customer!

Next, we must develop a manufacturing process that can satisfy the forecasted volumes at the required quality, but remain within your tooling budget. The chances are that we have manufactured a product similar to your's in the past, and so have real world experience to hand. This reduces the possibilities of costly re-tooling and ensures minimum time to production.

It is pointless developing a manufacturing process with an inadequate yield of good product. We make sure that we design quality aspects into the product at the earliest possible opportunity, this ensures we can quote a price with the confidence that our scrap levels will be within our limits.

Of course, some high volume products will benefit from production in a location where labour is cheaper than in the UK. We have good relationships with silicone and rubber manufacturers in the Far East & India and have a Primasil manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic. We will always suggest using these facilities if we think the product price could benefit. In our experience, products with high material costs, high precision products, or components in a critical supply chain typically gain advantage from being manufactured in the UK – lower quality products in very high quantities can normally be sourced at a lower price elsewhere. Where this is the case, we are happy to develop a material and manufacturing process at our site in the UK, and then transfer these to a more cost effective volume manufacturing location.
